Extreme weather shipping pauses (heat & cold)Updated a month ago
Why we pause shipping
Cacti are hardy once established, but they don’t like being trapped in a box during extreme heat or cold. To make sure your plants arrive healthy, we sometimes delay shipping when temperatures could damage them.
How it works
Heat waves: If your location or our nursery is experiencing extreme heat, we may hold your order until conditions cool down.
Freezing weather: In winter, shipments may be paused if your area is experiencing hard freezes.
What this means for you
If your order is delayed for weather, we’ll email you with an updated shipping plan.
Once conditions improve, your order will be shipped right away and you’ll receive tracking by email.
You don’t need to do anything—we’ll take care of it automatically.
Tips
If you know you’ll be away or weather is expected to be extreme, you can add a note at checkout or email us with your preferred shipping date.
Always unpack your cactus immediately on arrival to let it acclimate.
