Caring for Rooted CactiUpdated 3 months ago

Step 1: Inspect Your Plant

  • A little stress after shipping is normal. Small marks will heal over time.

  • If there is significant damage, refer to our Happiness Guarantee Policy.

Step 2: Select the Right Soil

  • Use well-draining soil with sand, perlite, or pumice to avoid excess moisture.

  • wide, shallow pot with drainage holes is best for most cacti.

Step 3: Planting the Cactus

  • When repotting, ensure the roots are covered with soil but do not bury the stem.

Step 4: Watering

  • After planting, wait 5-7 days before watering to prevent root rot.

  • Instead of following a strict schedule, water your cactus only when it needs it. Check the soil—if it is completely dry and the cactus looks slightly shriveled, it’s time to water.

  • Always allow the soil to dry completely before watering again.

Step 5: Sunlight

  • Cacti need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.

  • If transitioning from indoors to outdoors, gradually increase sun exposure over 1-2 weeks.

Step 6: Temperature & Humidity

  • Keep your cactus in a warm environment (65°F-85°F).

  • Avoid humid areas, as cacti prefer dry conditions.
